Show Us Your Moves!
I can walk the walk on May 16th!
As many of you know, the last few years were a struggle for me. Words can not express how grateful I am to be feeling normal! It is so easy to take simple things in life for granted because they are part of our daily routines. We do them without a second thought. I ended up being in a situation where every movement required thought. Even though I am not limited by arthritis today, I still recognize all of the things I can do each and every day. I have a whole new appreciation for life.
Last year, I wanted to do the Arthritis Walk but it was not an option. Even though it upset me, I told myself that I would do it when I was better.
Well, here I am a year later! Not only will I be doing this walk....but (drum roll please....) my friend Cheryl and I did a 5K last month! I've come a long way baby!!!
I need your help in the movement to cure arthritis. I am taking on the challenge to make a difference in our community by participating in the Arthritis Walk as a part of Let's Move Together, the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide movement that encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis.
Today, one in five people suffer from the pain of arthritis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) project that by the year 2030, 67 million people in the U.S., or 1 in 4 adults, will live with arthritis. You can join me in the movement against arthritis by helping me reach my goal. Let's Move Together to improve lives and reduce the pain of arthritis.
Thank you!
